Hunter offers a set schedule of 40 hours per week with no overtime required and flexible work hours between 7am – 5pm.
What you will do:
- Create prototype machined and fabricated parts from steel and alloy bar stock and sheet metal, working from engineering drawings or verbal instructions.
- Operate all machine shop equipment including Bridgeport, lathes, surface grinder, drill press, sheet metal brakes and presses as well as other shop-related equipment.
- Read engineering drawings and interpret geometric tolerances to machine and inspect parts.
- Set up machines for various parts including complex castings and extrusions.
- Additional duties as required.
Additional Qualifications Include:
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 2-year degree or trade school certificate required.
- 3-5 years’ experience with a strong background in the use of machine shop, metal fabrication tools and equipment required
- 5+ years of experience preferred
- Sheet metal capabilities a plus.
- Experience using and programming Haas vertical milling machines is a plus, but not required.
- Experience with Master Cam also a plus.
- Experience or interest in antique automotive or aeronautical machinery is a plus.
