Job description

Looking for part time mail carrier to deliver mail and parcels in Sitka. $23-25 doe per hour with vehicle and fuel provided. 20 + hours per week. Looking for an organized, dependable, fast learner.

Qualifications:

• 20 years of age or older
• Able to work in the United States
• Have a valid driver’s license for at least 2 years
• No driving violations for at least 5 years (suspension, speeding tickets DUI etc.)
• Clean criminal history

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Sorting mail in delivery sequence for 577 active boxes.
• Loading mail and parcels in delivery sequence into delivery vehicle.
• Delivering mail along an assigned 15.5-mile line-of-travel.
• Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds.
• Work in extreme weather conditions (cold, heat, rain etc.)
• Other administrative duties are required.
• Running second trip parcel runs depending on volume.
• You must abide by all USPS rules and regulations.

Pay and hours:

• Paid training (up to 40 hours)
• $23-25 per hour doe
• Raise after 90 days
• Day Shift – Part Time - Generally, 3-5 days per week. Some flexibility in schedule.
• Hours vary depending on mail volume and performance. Typical working hours between 7:30am – 5:00pm Monday-Saturday.
