MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT - FT Day Shift

JOB OBJECTIVE

The Maintenance Assistant will work under the direction of the Maintenance Director to ensure an environmentally safe living space for the Residents. To follow directions in a preventative maintenance program and to perform daily basic repairs. Must have basic HVAC and electrical understanding and skill level.

JOB STANDARDS

• Minimum of 2 years on the job experience.
• Speak and understand spoken and written English.
• Perform, follow and adhere to proper body mechanics necessary to perform duties.
• Must be able to stand most of shift and do repetitive arm/shoulder movements.
• Sense of responsibility and ability to work independently and in cooperation with others.
• Possess the ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Assure that lighting levels in all areas will be in accordance with state/federal code.
• Follow the written procedures, state/federal and local codes applicable to fire, safety, and disaster.
• Perform preventative maintenance schedule which includes performing weekly, monthly, and annual life safety checklists.
• Assure that fresh air and ventilation systems will be operational and functional at all times.
• Assure that heating, air-conditioning and ventilation systems will be maintained and within temperature control standards that govern the facility.
• Assist in changing air and water filters in systems quarterly.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $22.75 per hour

• Maintenance: 2 years (Preferred)
