What do I need as a Maintenance Assistant at United Methodist Homes?
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred
- 1 or more years of related experience or training in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, masonry
- Valid, clean driver's license

What will I do as a Maintenance Assistant at United Methodist Homes?
- Ensures that maintenance schedules or instructions are followed as outline
- Performs routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways such as cutting/trimming lawns, sweeping, shoveling, plowing, etc
- Performs routine maintenance on buildings and equipment in areas of plumbing, plastering, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical
- Replaces light bulbs including exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, room call lights, etc
- Services heating and cooling units/systems
- May perform janitorial functions such as mopping/cleaning surfaces, emptying garbage/recyclable containers, etc
- Performs unscheduled maintenance tasks as direct
