Job Description

Provides housekeeping services and performs project tasks in resident care areas and common areas of the Lutheran Home. Perform floor and carpet cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, refinishing, stripping, buffing, vacuuming and extraction. Remove trash, operate heavy equipment, move furniture and set up rooms. Clean kitchens, vents, equipment, windows, etc. Tour buildings and grounds; log rounds, assist with monitoring security systems, report unusual conditions and malfunctions of equipment. Perform minor maintenance tasks requiring average skills and knowledge. Assists residents, visitors and employees.

Full Time

Schedule for the position is : 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM including every other weekend & holiday.

High school diploma is required.

1 year of experience is preferred.

Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.

Must be able to keep written records.

Must be able to deal with the mental and emotional stress of the position.

Must be able to lift, push, and move a minimum of 50 pounds unassisted. Requires the ability to stand, kneel, bend, push, and pull
