Golding are seeking an Experienced Leading Hand to be based on site at Curragh mine located near Blackwater. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the successful applicants will be responsible for ensuring that repairs and maintenance to the Golding equipment fleet are completed in a safe and cost-efficient manner.

Key role tasks:

• Frontline supervision of workforce ensuring all tasks are completed in a safe and timely manner in accordance with legislation, Golding and site procedures and policies
• Assist supervisors with directing, mentoring and assisting maintenance personnel as required
• Monitor and maintain fleet critical spares
• Liaise with maintenance planning and production for fleet requirements
• Carry out plant inspections and review other plant inspections as required
• Supervise and coordinate service & shutdown activity or appointed task that requires extra focus (troubleshooting)
• Prepare, set up and pack up maintenance shutdown events
• Conduct shift start if handover is longer than normal
• Carry out Acting Supervisor duties in Supervisors absence

Role Requirements

• Trade Certificate (Australian Recognised)
• RII Competency Training Records incl Test and Move Mobile Equipment
• Current Drivers Licence
• Current Standard 11
• Hold or have the ability to successfully complete a Coal Board Medical
• Demonstrated ability in applying the site safety systems requirements
• Demonstrated safe, professional and productive behaviour
• Experience with CAT, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment is highly regarded
