MAINTENANCE OPERATIVE | €10.70 Per Hour

We have an exciting opportunity to join our growing team at Longford Forest as a Maintenance Assistant.

Your responsibilities will be:

• Attending call outs to guest accommodation as well as the on-site guest and staff facilities
• Carrying out minor repair and handyman tasks and resolving any maintenance issues
• Ensuring that any work not completed is communicated via a shift book and/or job sheet
• Proactively identifying and consulting with the Technical Services Management Team on task trends and recurring issues which may cause future maintenance problems
• Executing a planned preventative maintenance schedule
• Carrying out general maintenance tasks as required
• Rectifying any health and safety issues

The role includes responsibility for the efficient operation of the hot tubs located at our exclusive lodges, including water quality testing, monitoring chemical levels, replacing the water twice a week and cleaning and general / preventative planned maintenance repairs to the hot tubs as required (full training will be provided).

ABOUT YOU

Essential requirements:

• A full driving licence as you will be required to drive work vehicles around site
• Practical working experience and knowledge of general maintenance
• Ability to execute work without supervision and with attention to detail
• Ability to work effectively and as part of a team in dynamic and high pressure situations

Desirable requirements:

• NFQ award in a Construction or Engineering trade or equivalent
• Experience and knowledge of general maintenance in a hospitality environment
• PWTAG accredited Pool Plant Operators Course

HOURS OF WORK

You will be contracted to work 80 hours per 4-week period on a flexible basis. This means that your hours and days of work could vary each week, but you will always receive at least your contracted hours each period.

Your working hours will include weekends, public / bank holidays and during Christmas and/or New Year on a rota basis with a premium rate of pay for hours worked on a Sunday.
