MAINTENANCE SPECIALIST - HVACR, WALK-IN COOLERS/FREEZERS
Full Time 260 days/8 hrs/day

Location: District-Wide

Duties: Maintain shop facilities, records, and inventories. Respond to service calls as assigned. Assist building staff and other maintenance and building staff with repairs of all types of HVAC, refrigeration, and mechanical repairs. Maintain truck inventory and department tools. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Buildings & Grounds or designee.

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, plus 5 years of varied experience in HVAC and building maintenance repair. Knowledgeable in the operation and function of HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatics, walk-in colers, and freezers. Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment failures. Ability to understand and observe oral and written instructions. Ability to read, understand, and follow architectural, mechanical, schematic, electric, etc. drawings. Motivated self-starter; well-organized and efficient; ability to work with minimum supervision and direction. Ability to maintain regular attendance, which includes completing an assigned day. Ability to perform position responsibilities, including physical factors, work devices and materials handling, data functions, and people functions. Must be physically working in the building/on site.

Preferred Qualifications: Universal Refrigeration License preferred. Master Gas License preferred. Boiler License preferred.

Rate of Pay: $33.65/hour, plus an additional stipend of $2.40/hr for the Refrigeration/Universal License, or $4.70/hr for Master Gas License.
