Job Description
Responsible for maintenance activities to achieve daily effective repairs of equipment and timely preventative maintenance activities. Ensuring repairs of equipment and machinery by assigning and helping all maintenance hourly employees engaged in the maintenance process while focusing on safety, people development, equipment reliability.
Maximizes equipment reliability in assigned area by ensuring all employees are in the proper and timely execution of maintenance activities and repairs to machinery and equipment. Partners with production staff to eliminate the causes of production delays resulting from equipment failures. Assist in the root cause identification of mechanical and electrical delays; Advises immediate Manager, Peers, and Production counterparts of all actual or potential maintenance problems causing mechanical or electrical delay or shutdown to operations.
Determines the effectiveness of manpower utilization, working procedures and cost control measures and consults with immediate Manager, Peers, and Production counterparts to develop methods for improvement. Recommends materials and equipment required for maintenance and repair jobs, requisitions stock material and equipment necessary for mechanical and electrical maintenance operations.
Requires a minimum of 4-6 years of previous supervisory maintenance experience in manufacturing.
Previous foundry experience with a good understanding of maintenance principles or similar heavy manufacturing repair is a plus. Must be able to understand both old and new technology equipment.
· Must be able to partner effectively with production peers, and to work with, train, motivate, and hourly employees.
· Must be able to quickly learn and demonstrate proficient process knowledge in assigned area.
· Must have the ability to plan and direct the work of maintenance employees, to diagnose and solve maintenance problems and to understand the application sufficient verbal and written communication skills to communicate effectively with hourly and salaried personnel.
· Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipment and concepts around properly repairing.
· Ability to understand and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic control is desired.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Good oral and written communication skills
· Strong sense of urgency in learning and meeting customer needs.
· Must have a good understanding of safety processes and demonstrate a passion for following all established procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
