Overview
CHI St. Joseph's Health is hiring a Maintenance Tech to work in our Facility Services department.
This person will demonstrate competence with maintenance skills and techniques. To thrive in this role you will possess the skills necessary to test, inspect, repair, operate, maintain, and calibrate the Plant Operations systems (vertically transport, HVAC, plumbing, boiler, steam, chiller, medical gas, refrigeration, power distribution, emergency power, fire detection and suppression systems, and communications). This position is integral to maintaining facilities safety culture for all patients, visitors and staff.

Responsibilities
What you'll do...
- Work on Mechanical and Electrical systems including trouble shooting issues with these systems.
- Use and understand computerized maintenance management program
- Complete preventative and corrective maintenance activities as assigned.
- Conduct Building Grounds Maintenance as requires
- Assist with completing compliance activities related to regulatory standards
- Ensure safety throughout the facility for all patients, visitors, and staff.
- Maintain State Boilers License at a level acceptable to the system size.
- Participation in department’s rotating on-call schedule.
- As needed to work extended hours in the event of an emergency.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Must have or obtain MN State Class 1C Boiler License within three (3) months
- Valid Minnesota (MN) Driver License.
- Blueprint reading, trouble shooting, working in extreme temperatures.
Preferred:
- Five (5) years in Building Maintenance or three (3) years in Healthcare Maintenance setting.
- Technical Schooling in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or related fields.
Pay Range
$19.91 - $24.22 /hour
