MAINTENANCE - TRUCK REPAIR - 1st SHIFT
Seeking a Maintenance Technician ready to take their career to the next level by becoming an employee-owner. The ideal candidate will have strong vehicle maintenance skills.

HOURS:

• 1st Shift
• 6 am - 4 pm, Monday - Friday
• Overtime available on Saturdays

Scot Forge is an employee-owned company that manufactures custom open die and rolled ring forgings used in demanding applications all over the world.
Scot Forge has locations in Franklin Park, Spring Grove, IL, and Clinton, WI.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES -

• Work from maintenance work orders, parts manuals, service schedules, drawings, prints and instructions from Group Leader and Supervisor:
• Performs basic repair and preventative maintenance on equipment including lubrication and filter changes, changes and repairs tires; installs and services batteries.
• Maintains appropriate fluid levels, lights, fan belts and other basic vehicle parts. Ensures all safety devices on vehicles are in good working order.
• Basic welding, cutting and fabrication under supervision.
• Perform operation test prior to repairs to verify complaint and performs final operational test on all vehicles to quality-check all repairs prior to releasing
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance activities.
• Understand and follow the Scot Forge quality policy.
• Work in cooperation with all fellow employee owners to sustain a strong team atmosphere.
• Perform all duties in accordance with appropriate guidelines for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal.
• Follow safety rules and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Perform all maintenance duties following lockout/tag-out and fall protection procedures where required.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS –

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of vehicle repair and maintenance
• Good mechanical aptitude with basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and repair.
• Familiarity with the use of repair manuals, wiring & hydraulic diagrams and schematics
• Experience with diesel powered vehicles is preferred.
• Associates degree in Industrial Mechanic Technical or Electro-Mechanical or successful completion of Mechatronics Apprenticeship Program (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs.
