Job Description


The Maintenance Technician Helper/CDL driver will be responsible for general maintenance of equipment under the direct supervision of the Lead Maintenance Technician. They will also help with various projects throughout the facility in set up and/or assembly. The Maintenance Helper will pick up parts at vendors and will drive the company vehicles to deliver products to customers when needed.


Qualifications


Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain equipment through inspection or maintenance request forms for repair.
  • Maintain inventory records; place and manage orders for materials and supplies.
  • Inspect shipments for missing items and damages; store supplies in designated areas.
  • Participate and make suggestions toward the development of the facility in support of the overall strategic plans
  • Explore, identify and participate in initiatives, processes and procedures to improve operational efficiencies while assuring quality; analyze improvement initiatives; make sure implementation is initiated
  • Maintains safe working conditions in his/her area. Continually works on safety awareness with associates.
  • Good verbal communication skills to communicate effectively and productively to all levels of personnel in the plant.
  • Ability to work as a team member toward overall company objectives.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of employee information. This includes, but is not limited to: performance, illness, investigations and personal information.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical blueprints/ schematics ,safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals written in English.
  • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Maintain a clean driving record and capable of qualifying for inclusion on our corporate insurance plan.
  • Must be a licensed CDL driver with a good driving record (subject to MVR)
  • Physical Requirements:


Must be able to work in non-climate controlled environment where ambient air temperature can exceed outside air temperature.

  • Must be able to work outside exposed to all weather conditions.
  • Must be able to sit, stand and bend for extended periods of time.
  • Must be able to wear proper safety equipment when necessary.
  • Must be able to use and maintain a variety of hand tools including screw gun, drill, saw, etc.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds when necessary.
  • This is a safety sensitive position.
  • This position requires the ability to drive a company vehicle and trailer during working hours.

  • Able to troubleshoot problems and offer solutions.
