Qualifications
- Knowledge of reading, writing, mathematical skills as normally acquired through completion of high school or equivalent diploma.
- Mechanical aptitude and mathematical ability needed to record gauge reading and do simple calculating.
- Possess a genuine interest in residents, understanding the safety needs of these residents when working in and around their living areas.
- Must have driver’s license.
Job Summary
Performs a variety of Maintenance duties in and around the building and grounds of the facility complex as directed by the Administrator.
Reports To: Administrator
Essential Job Duties
Standard precautions must be followed in all job duties
- Performs visual and auditory inspection of mechanical systems and equipment, reports their condition, and makes minor repairs as delegated.
- Will go to retail establishments for items needed in the building.
- Rearranges, moves, relocates, and stores furniture, resident equipment, office equipment and other items as directed.
- Performs a variety of cleaning jobs relative to maintenance of building.
- May be needed to remove snow and ice using shovels and/or other mechanical equipment.
- Moves and stores supplies and stocks supplies as needed and directed.
- Performs pick up and removal of wasted as instructed.
- Attends educational presentations as assigned and applies information as directed by supervisor.
- Performs other duties as directed by supervisor.
- Works closely with the Operations Manager.
