Job description
Montefiore seeks an experienced and polished professional to serve in the newly created role of Manager, Board Affairs in the Office of Board Relations. This position will report to the Director, Board Relations and co-manage the efficient functioning of the activities of the Montefiore Medicine, Montefiore Health System and Einstein College Boards of Trustees. The individual will also be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations and activities of the Office of Board Relations.
Key responsibilities of the Manager, Board Affairs position include contributing to the support of a governance structure involving multiple Boards and 75+ trustees; helping the Office of Board Relations to establish processes in the areas of Board recruitment, orientation and ongoing education; drafting formal communications to the Board, such as updates, invitations and meeting notices; preparing meeting materials including agendas, reports and minutes; providing support at Board/Committee meetings and attending special events as needed; building upon the use of existing technology platforms or implementing new technologies and databases to enhance the trustee experience; designing and implementing office policies and procedures including but not limited to budget, special projects, filing, supplies, transportation and hospitality upon request.
Education/Skills:
Bachelor's Degree required. Minimum 5 years work experience, including work with Boards. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite.
