GENERAL SUMMARY
The Manager of IT / Systems Administrators at Eclipse Aerospace has the primary responsibility for IT infrastructure across the company. The job requires managing personnel as well as the systems that support operations, planning, costing, and execution of system upgrades and all aspects of system security. Oversees managing the server, network and application management, deployment, maintenance and accessibility. Secondary responsibilities include helpdesk support case management, resolution and tracking. Additional responsibilities include user, hardware and software provisioning, refresh and management.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- IT group management including personnel and infrastructure.
- Maintaining and creating systems within a VMware vSphere virtual infrastructure.
- Monitoring and supporting critical network services (e.g. DNS, DHCP and Email)
- Maintaining and monitoring the connectivity to MPLS sites & off-site networks, including the Internet
- Maintaining and coordinating the security of the company computer network
- Automating system administration tasks using various scripts, macros, and programming languages
- Researching, recommending and provisioning equipment and software solutions for business needs
- User Account Management, role based authentication for systems
- Auditing/analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems
- Performing backups and restores
- Installing and configuring new hardware and software
- Responsibility for documenting the configuration of systems
- Troubleshooting any reported problems & system performance tuning
- Responsible for basic administration of various SaaS cloud-based solutions; (GoogleApps/ZenDesk)
- Answering technical queries and end user helpdesk support
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Required:
- VMWare vSphere Experience
- 5-8 years System Administration experience in a 200+ user environment
- Microsoft Active Directory Experience (user management, GPOs, etc.)
- Cisco TCP/IP Networking experience
- Strong interpersonal, communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required
Preferred:
- Experience with EMC storage and backup solutions
- Windows logon/logoff automation experience
- Simple programming using Powershell/PowerCLI or equivalent scripting language
- Professional certifications (VMware VCP, Cisco CCNA, VEEAM, CompTIA, etc.)
- Linux system administration for core services and LAMP (or similar) stacks
- Ubiquiti systems experience
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Manages the IT Department and its team members as well as reporting requirements to executive management
WORKING CONDITIONS / PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work may be performed in an office, warehouse or hangar environment with exposure to noise from aircraft and machinery. Light physical demands associated with an office work environment. May need to lift/move materials up to 50lbs. with or without assistance.
TRAVEL
Minimal travel may be required
SCHEDULE: M-F / exempt position with a minimum work week of 40 hours
Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000 per year
