This position is responsible for leading and managing two business functions on the PGA TOUR. First, this position is responsible for maximizing sales revenue for PGA TOUR sponsored and co-sponsored events through direct B2B and B2C outbound sales campaigns, while training sales associates to earn a revenue producing or support role at a PGA TOUR event. Secondly, this position is responsible for hiring, training, and managing a customer service team which will provide exceptional customer service support to all sponsored and co-sponsored events on the PGA TOUR.

Primary responsibility includes recruitment, development, and supervision of the National Sales & Service team.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or equivalent experience in related field
  • Five to seven years prior experience in sales, sports, customer service or entertainment preferred. Prior supervisory skills preferred
  • Advanced computer skills required, including proficiency in Salesforce, TM Archtics, and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Golf knowledge and interest preferred, but not mandatory
RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES
  • Develop and execute a strategy for targeting and engaging new sales prospects. Help sales associates identify and sell available ticket and hospitality inventory by generating leads using outbound and inbound calls, emails, virtual meetings, and networking events.
  • Monitor weekly status of department staff for measuring productivity and results. Assist NSS staff with closing techniques and account management to ensure achievement of revenue goals
  • Professionally communicate to gather all relevant details; communicate with supervisor and provide timely follow up.
  • Enhance presentation and appointment presentations skills by ongoing coaching and supervision
  • Conducts daily sales meetings to review activity and goals plus communicating updates on pending projects and events
  • Reviewing market analyses to determine customer needs and product interests throughout sales campaign. Assist in developing sales and marketing strategies for ticket and hospitality packages
  • Collaborate with marketing, tournament support, community management, product management and account management to facilitate new campaigns, and offerings
  • Assist with on-going training initiatives for current PGA TOUR tournament sales representatives
  • Recruit, hire, train and develop entry-level team on a weekly basis
  • Develop and encourage staff to pursue new tasks and challenges related to overall departmental goals and objectives
  • Contribute to departmental operations, including staffing, budget management/ cost containment, and internal communication
