Job description
UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others! We are currently seeking a full-time (40 hour) Manager for Outpatient BHS Services who will be responsible for proactively managing access to quality patient centered services using collaborative, cross department, and integrative care strategies. Manages and leads ongoing program administration and clinical supervision, including quality, productivity, and documentation, for outpatient behavioral health services.
Essential Responsibilities -
- Ensures that quality clinical care is being provided consistent with quality standards of care that result in improved health outcomes for clients.
- Supervision of clinical supervisors developing consistent standards of care, monitoring the use of evidence-based practices, and ensuring efficient scheduling of provider time to meet client access needs and productivity expectations.
- Manages and monitors productivity while overseeing and ensuring departmental budgets meet or exceed fiscal expectations through weekly monitoring of clinical caseloads, both clinicians and psychiatric providers.
- Works collaboratively with other departments including Medical, Dental, Billing, Medical Records, Operation Manager and Patient/Revenue Supervisor to develop strategies and processes that result in high quality, well documented integrated service provision.
- Works in partnership with the Manager of BHS Training and Clinical Consultation to ensure that outpatient behavioral health services are properly documented by revising and developing new documentation protocols as needed, providing training on documentation, and ensuring BHS records are audit ready.
- Ensures that exceptional customer service is provided through telephone, remote, and face to face communications. Assures access to care and efficient and effective patient scheduling.
- Ensures a positive employee relations climate while leading hiring, orientation, training, coaching/counseling, discipline, performance management and appraisal, time and labor approval and tracking, and related routine personnel operations; actively solicits and incorporates input from providers into staff evaluations.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related field and must hold State of CT LCSW, LMFT, or LPC license
- 7-10 years’ experience related experience with 5-7 years supervisory experience of outpatient behavioral health department or practice
- Prior experience in a community health center preferred.
