Overview:
Manage all aspects of Ride and Park Services operation, provide guidance to direct reports responsible for respective departments, ensure park and company safety practices are adhered to, plan and monitor expense and labor budgets, serve as Department duty manager during operating hours
Responsibilities:
- Develops and implements action plans for the operations of the Rides and Park Services Departments to provide for maximum guest service and park cleanliness, the safety of park guests and employees, and the division's compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and ordinances.
- Inspects and observes all rides, park grounds, and restrooms frequently each operating day to ensure safe and proper operation, good guest service, proper staffing levels, and cleanliness. Takes corrective action or communicates concerns and needs to subordinates and other departments.
- Ensures that all standard operating procedures are followed during a ride breakdown or emergency situation to ensure the safety of all guests and employees. Climbs to and, along with other Park Operations, Maintenance, and Safety/Security personnel, safely evacuates guests from rides when necessary during a ride shutdown.
- Oversees and participates in the training of department employees, including coaching, counseling, and taking disciplinary action when necessary.
- Prepares all labor and operating expense budgets for Rides and Park Services Departments. Monitors financial reports regularly and takes corrective action when needed. Purchases operating supplies needed by the departments.
- Adheres to and enforces all Cedar Fair and specific Park policies and procedures, including safety, attendance, and EEO policies, and demonstrates commitment to customer service in all aspects of employment.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- 3-5 years Amusement or Theme Park Leadership Experience Required
- Understanding of IROC processes and standards preferred
- High School or GED diploma required. Bachelors degree preferred.
