POSITION TITLE: Manufacturing Controller STATUS: Exempt

DEPARTMENT: Accounting

REPORTS TO: Accounting Manager

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Controller will be responsible for providing oversight for all financial and accounting activities of the manufacturing facility. The Controller, working with other management, will have ownership of achieving the facility’s performance metrics including expense management and job profitability.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Optimize usage of SAP Business by Design ERP system for manufacturing
• Lead continuous improvement efforts associated with internal controls, processes, and procedures
• Provide financial perspective and decision-making support to improve plant financial performance
• Lead development of plant budget and monthly forecasts as well as identifying opportunities to reduce costs
• A key contributor to the plant strategy by providing financial support and risk analysis
• Coordinate and drive the forecast and budget process
• Drive the financial performance improvements across all operational areas including material spend, labor and overhead.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or a related field
• At least 3 years accounting/financial analysis experience within a manufacturing company.
• Must be computer literate with data mining and ERP systems
• Have strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, time management and analytical skills.
• The individual will be expected to be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the accounting and finance field, including cost accounting.
• Knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to multi-task with moderate supervision.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:.

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
