The PCX Manufacturing Engineer provides technical support for the production team. Responsibilities include providing documentation and floor support associated with safety, manufacturing and quality methods, tooling, and equipment.

The Manufacturing Engineer aggressively initiates new processes and methods for continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost reduction, standardization, and quality. Provides design support to ensure smooth transition to manufacturing for new products and projects. The Manufacturing Engineer reports to the Director of Operations and works closely with Production Managers, Application Engineers, Production Engineers, and the Quality Department.

Specific Position Requirements:

  • Drive improved product quality by identifying manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions, and overseeing successful implementation into production
  • Work with Production Managers and Supervisors to resolve manufacturing and quality problems related to methods, processes, tooling, equipment and product design
  • Lead Kaizen Teams to successful completion of targeted projects
  • Monitor labor and material costs and inform management of excessive costs relating to project or product implementations
  • Evaluate and implement Engineering Changes and Deviations for materials and processes.
  • Lead periodic quality corrective and preventive action reviews, track the quality status of projects
  • Develop and Train work instructions for manufacturing processes and tool operation
  • Must exhibit quality workmanship that adheres to engineering and customer specifications
  • Adheres to PCX Quality Management System and ISO9001 standards
  • Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
  • Must follow PCX safety guidelines and requirements
  • Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
  • Able to lift 50lbs consistently
  • Ability to work 10 hours per day
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License
  • Background check and drug-screen are required
