An amazing opportunity has arisen for a Manufacturing Technologist. The role is a key technical subject matter expert role with accountability to ensure the facility is operationally ready for commercial large-scale production of Drug Substance as per start-up schedule.

What you will do:

Bring energy, knowledge, innovation and leadership to carry out the following:

  • Work with the Integrated Process Team (IPT) to ensure the effective and efficient on-time delivery of batch production within the IPT area.
  • Establish oneself as key contact for designated downstream process workstream as assigned and lead the associated process centric team.
  • Provide technical, process and engineering expertise within a wide range of projects, such as the introduction of new equipment and processes.
  • Author and manage Change control generation.
  • Manage and update BOMs per assigned workstream.
  • Provide SME leadership to deviation management and effective CAPA generation where appropriate.
  • Aid Generation of SOPS/Electronic Batch Records for production.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support to cross functional team members, to share process, engineering, and maintenance best practices.
  • Tactical Implementation & Support for reliability equipment initiatives.
  • Ensure supply of high-quality product through ensuring equipment availability; maximize team member performance through continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Author and approve MIDAS/QDocs/Kneat documents as appropriate.

What skills you will need:

In order to excel in this role, you will more than likely have:

  • Degree or 3rd level qualification (Science, Engineering).
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills with a continuous improvement focus.
  • Proven track record of delivering high performance through development and coaching of a team.
  • At least 5 years’ experience in the Pharmaceutical industry (preferably experience in Drug Substance, Downstream Operations)
  • Knowledge and experience in process optimization, technical transfer of products and extensive knowledge of Validation requirements.
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying Six Sigma and Lean methodologies
  • Desirable evidence of Continuous Professional Development
