Responsibilities:

The Marine Engineer will participate in the evaluation, inspection, design, and construction phase services of infrastructure at shipyard facilities, including dry docks.

Requirements:

Applicants must possess the following:

  • B.S.M.E with a minimum of 10 years of waterfront inspection, design and construction experience
  • Licensed as a Virginia Professional Engineer
  • Strong knowledge of certified Dry Docks and MIL‐STD‐1625D
  • Experience updating FCR reports for certified Dry Docks
  • Experience on projects involving bulkheads, piers and fender systems
  • Experience with costs estimating, material takeoffs and scheduling
  • Hands-on experience with marine construction
  • Excellent reputation as an engineering professional
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to work cooperatively with others
  • Must be a US Citizen
