About This Job

If you’d like a job where you can help keep our bank branches running as effectively as possible, this might be the job for you. As a Market Operations Specialist , you’ll assist the retail banking management team with operational controls in your assigned area. You’ll be an important part of retail team that helps manage and reduce risk by reviewing operational procedures and providing training as needed to branch team members. Essential Functions

• Provide on-site assistance and support the operational controls for assigned retail branches
• Guide bankers based on operational policies and procedures outlined in the Branch Control and Audits documents
• Visit assigned branches 2 – 3 times each week to complete a variety of operational tasks
• Perform cash drawer, vault, recycler/dispenser, and consigned items audits at assigned branches
• Review all night drop and consigned item logs for completion
• Verify the collection and proper completion of wire transfers, new accounts, CIP, Beneficial Owners, and name change documentation
• Check opening/closing procedures
• Assist with SDB key audits, box drills and will searches
• Educate bankers regarding any cash differences and balancing errors
• Facilitate operational huddles and training at the branch
• Evaluate employee’s operational knowledge and regularly provide feedback to Branch Management and Group Operations Manager after branch visits
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required

• Ability to maintain a valid driver’s license and meet Commerce Bank’s driving record criteria; ongoing employment may be contingent upon meeting all driving requirements
• Basic understanding or ability to learn our retail operation policies, procedures, and systems
• Ability to show empathy and connect quickly with employees
• Strong analytical skills

• Motivated and organized self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities

• Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook

Education & Experience

• Associate’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required
• 2+ years retail branch operations experience preferred
