Job Duties:
- Provide input to annual Marketing Plan and manage budget and deliverables per the action plan.
- Communications programs (press releases, social media, newsletters, e-mail campaigns, advertising, digital marketing, webinars, videos, etc.) with leads generated tracked, recorded in CRM and distributed to sales team.
- Support direct customer-facing events (conferences, user conferences, etc.) including event registrations, materials, banners, digital marketing, abstracts, presentations, travel, etc. to support business growth objectives.
- Track Return on Marketing Investment (ROMI) and work with Director, Marketing and Sales Operations to consolidate and prioritize future investments.
- Develop the content and key messages for sales and marketing tools and ensure that SmartCover’s corporate identity, positioning, product promotion and messaging is consistent with both internal and external parties.
- Help put together proposals to support bids and new customer acquisition.
- Support channel partners and other partnerships.
- Professional association engagement (WEF, NACWA, NAWC, etc.).
- Work with SmartCover customers and partners to develop case studies, white papers, abstracts for conferences, papers, etc.
- Assist Product Manager to evaluate (VOC, market assessment, etc.) near adjacent and new market verticals.

- Minimum of 2-5 years’ Marketing work experience with a water, wastewater or smart water solutions company
- Demonstrated ability to successfully execute a Marketing plan to timelines and budgets with a sense of urgency.
- Customer Focus – builds and sustains positive and collaborative relationships with customers, both internal and external
- Skilled at transferring technical data into appropriate marketing language for diverse target audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a cross functional “team” selling environment.
- Extremely strong written/verbal communications and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to successfully manage projects to timelines and budgets and deliver with a sense of urgency.
- Self-motivated individual who can take ownership of projects and bring continuous improvement.
- Must maintain a high level of integrity, maturity and competitive drive to be successful.
- Ability to work independently and travel as necessary for internal and external meetings and events (~10-20%)
- Highly proficient in Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Adobe and Salesforce (or other CRM)
- Experience with content management systems, graphic design (e.g. Canva), website editing (HTML) and email/marketing automation software a plus
Education Requirements:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent skills and experience.
Physical Demands:
- Body Positions: Includes standing, sitting, walking, lifting (up to 60 lbs), talking, hearing and handling.
- Work may be indoors in a temperature-controlled environment and outdoors in a non-controlled environment.
- Typical noise level is low to moderate.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
