Job Summary:
The Marketing Communications Specialist will use visually engaging concepts to promote the company’s products and services to existing and prospective customers through strategic use of graphics, logos, and other promotional products.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Collaborates with sales to fully understand product and communication needs.
- Gathers the materials necessary to understand the project and competition in the area such as literature or previous marketing campaigns; analyzes these materials to determine the most effective communications technique.
- Drafts and proposes communications campaigns, which may include social and online media, print media, direct mail, and other multimedia.
- Presents design ideas and recommendations to manager or sales team.
- Creates original visual media that communicates the desired feeling or message in an engaging and unified way.
- Chooses graphics, clip art, and stock photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
- Selects fonts for written copy; produces sample layout for approval by client or other project participants.
- Revises projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
- Prepares print orders and assembly instructions on notification of final approval.
- Creates and coordinates multimedia packages.
- Manages web environment design and maintenance to include company website, all social media platforms and internal newsletter.
- Evaluates success of campaigns when completed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with the following computer programs and software:
- Microsoft Office Suite,
- Adobe Creative Cloud:
- Photoshop

- Illustrator
- Familiar with the following computer programs and software:
- E-commerce platform experience
- Email Marketing
- Robly
- Emma
- Mailchimp, etc.
- Web
- Social Media platforms
- Google Analytics
- Some HTML knowledge
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or related field, with significant coursework in Art, or Graphic Design
- Three to five years of related experience writing and editing projects; portfolio of relevant previous projects highly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
