Job Description - Marketing Coordinator - East Idaho

Job Overview: To increase the acquisition of memberships and brand awareness concerning Credit Union products and services in cooperation with our branches. Assists in the production, distribution and coordination of marketing brochures, and promotional materials. This position will work directly with the Marketing Manager in developing and implementing approved branch marketing strategies, including community involvement, social media, and reputation management. This position will require hours outside of the normal schedule.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists branches with developing and executing member acquisition and member development strategies. Including regular branch visits as directed by the Marketing Manager.
• Assist the Marketing team and branches in implementing effective social media campaigns.
• Represents the Credit Union; promotes the Credit Union to employees and works with sponsor groups to maintain positive relationships.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute special events to achieve established goals and objectives.
• Assists in the implementation of all Credit Union promotions.
• Work with vendors in acquiring materials needed for marketing purposes.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• One or more years of marketing experience
• High School Diploma or GED
• Credit union and/or community bank experience preferred

Skills:

• Work involves much personal contact with others inside and/or outside the organization for the purpose of first-level conflict resolution, building relationships, and soliciting cooperation.
• Discussions involve a higher degree of confidentiality and discretion, requiring diplomacy and tact in communication.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus but not required.
• Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and Outlook applications.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Bilingual in Spanish preferred, but not required.

Physical Requirements: Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 20 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of travel by automobile (as driver and passenger), commercial airlines, rental vehicles and public transportation and be able to lodge in public facilities. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: 8:30 AM-5:30 PM/Monday-Friday

Pay: $17.00 - $22.00 per hour DOE
