Marketing Specialist, B2B Marketing
American Public Education, Inc.
We are seeking a Marketing Specialist to join our team and support the execution of B2B marketing strategies and sales enablement initiatives that drive revenue growth from partner organizations. The successful candidate will work closely with project management, multiple EUs (owned business units), and cross-functional teams including creative, content, paid media, and customer journey to implement and improve marketing initiatives. This position will report directly to the Director of B2B marketing.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery of B2B go-to-market plans in collaboration with marketing functional team members, such as paid and organic media, brand, creative/content, marketing automation, website, etc., and in partnership with the marketing solutions team.
- Coordinate the creation of marketing collateral and assets including presentations, email campaigns, videos, web content and social media posts.
- Ensure timely delivery of marketing assets and programs to meet project timelines.
- Support management in development of the annual and quarterly B2B marketing plans.
- Assist with the management of sales events, working with EUs to coordinate event plans and logistics, ensuring events are successful from a marketing perspective.
- Support the development of scalable marketing activities that can be utilized across multiple business units; work closely with marketing technology and innovation team for new ideas.
- Work closely with the sales team to promote the adoption of new marketing strategies and campaigns and assist with their training.
- Utilize research, data, and market trends to recommend new innovative ideas for growth
- Support the B2B team and manage the tactical process of engaging client partners for process and marketing improvement.
- Stay current on best-in-class B2B marketing trends and recommend new processes and ideas; perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of marketing experience required, with B2B marketing experience preferred, sales enablement integration, and/or channel management a plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Data-driven mindset and experience managing initiatives across multiple marketing channels
- Ability to work in a highly matrixed environment and seamlessly collaborate with multiple teams
Education:
- Bachelors Preferred
