Position Summary
Under the guidance of the Materials Handling Supervisor, the Material Handler will participate in the daily operational activities of their assigned warehouse which includes material storage, picking, loading/unloading trucks and driving company truck to various locations.
Duties of Position (Noted Essential Functions*)
- Operate company truck to deliver materials between warehouses as well as to customers or vendors.
- Ensure that the warehouse remains organized by placing materials in proper bin locations.
- Assist in the loading/unloading of containers.
- Maintain warehouse equipment and report issues to supervisor.
- Adhere to all applicable health and safety policies and quality standards.
- Keep warehouse clean and organized.
- Participate in Fiscal Year End Inventory count.
- Interface with all levels of employees within the organization.
- Able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Work within established organizational policies and regulations.
- Work safely without endangering self or others.
- Recommends new approaches, policies, and procedures which that are beneficial to the Warehousing function.
- One to Two (1-2) years + of proven and relevant work experience preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
