BASIC FUNCTIONS
1. Responsible for physical movement and control of all finished goods, packing materials and
return supplies to and from production lines, staging areas and inventory locations.
2. All services incidental to packing, shipping, receiving raw material and finish goods.
3. Make accurate counts and measurements.
4. Maintain equipment checklists as required.
5. Comply with procedures, methods and standards in adherence with Good Manufacturing
Procedures (GMP).
6. Duties relevant to the basic function.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS AND QUALIFICATIONS

A. BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS
1. Operating details of material handling equipment.
2. Feedback is essential to good performance. Two-way communication is encouraged between
Manager and operator on a continuing basis.
3. Cooperate closely with other operators and Managers.
4. Maintain an acceptable level of orderliness and cleanliness in areas of assigned work, including
staging areas, inventory locations and fork lift storage areas.
5. Understanding of and adherence to machine safety.
6. Observance of all safe practices within the department(s) including the reporting of equipment
deficiencies.

B. QUALIFICATIONS
Experience Requirements: Previous experience in a material handling capacity is helpful but not
required.
Education and License Requirements: High school education with diploma or be able to demonstrate
knowledge consistent with that level of education. Valid fork lift operator license.
Physical Working Conditions (Physical Capacities): Capable of normal standing, bending and twisting
consistent with extended periods of lift truck operation. Capable of light to moderate lifting. Exposure
to mild noise (machinery) and some mild nuisance dust. Climate condition consistent with those of a
normal manufacturing environment.
