Scope of Position:

Involves the preparation of lab samples for analysis. Utilizes tools and instruments to prepare samples. Conduct daily validations of test equipment to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing materials samples for analysis.
• Utilizing internal, customer, and industry specifications to assist in analysis and reporting if conclusions of samples and materials.
• Manage materials to ensure proper inventory levels, proper disposal, expired materials, and more.
• Daily validation of test equipment to ensure proper function.
• Reporting data for daily tracking of lab metrics.
• Communicating with multifunctional departments regarding process improvement efforts or product investigations.
• Assisting in the prioritization of workflow within lab.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science Degree, preferably in Materials Science or similar
• Prior experience working with metals and alloys within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to work effectively on multifunctional teams
• Strong organizational and computer skills
• CAD experience and ability to read and understand engineering drawings and schematics

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
