Acara Solutions is looking for a Materials Manager for one of our clients in Tucson, AZ

Job Duties:

• Adheres to all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements including but not limited to: FAA QMS, ISO, Environmental Management Systems, company policies and operating procedures and other regulatory requirements.
• Responsible for the purchasing and/or contracting for materials, supplies, equipment, and services for the operation of the Company, in addition to all inventory items.
• Works with requesting parties when specific sources are requested.
• Investigates and solves problems resulting from material shortages.
• Establishes and maintains inventory levels based on forecasts from the Sales department.
• Establishes and maintains purchasing practices and policies to ensure honest, fair, and ethical relationships with vendors.
• Develops, establishes, and provides for the maintenance of reporting systems that relate to the materials function.
• Manages the shipping and receiving functions of the company and oversees the storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
• Ensures that the company standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material department functions.
• Acts as the liaison between operations and customer service to ensure orders are accurate and on-time delivery is met.
• Collaborates to identify, analyze, and resolve potential supply chain gaps or changes that may impact customer requirements.
• Responsible for accurate and regular inventory cycle counts and for analyzing, identifying and processing inventory obsolescence.
• Responsible for the motivation and development of subordinates to optimize their performance and their personal and professional growth.

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Management related field preferred.
• 5+ plus years of experience in Aviation Production/Inventory Control plus additional experience in Purchasing in a similar environment along with previous leadership experience in Materials Management.
• APICS certification is a plus.
• Must have complete understanding of MRP systems.
• Experience with Quantum Control a plus.
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of employees and management.
• Requires strong verbal and written communications skills as well as effective interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational, planning and multi-tasking skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead team activities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, Outlook

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
