Job Description
- Must be able to teach multiple math classes and an Advisory section
- Must communicate and work cooperatively with students, staff, and parents to maintain a positive climate in the school
- Must be skilled at teaching in a team atmosphere, including work on collaborative teacher teams.
- Must be adept at building relationships and maintaining high academic and behavioral standards for all students.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills with a proven record of building rapport with culturally diverse students to ensure each child reaches her/his full potential.
- Must be willing to communicate with all stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Must be willing to make accommodations and to differentiate instruction based on students’ needs.
- Must implement building-wide PBIS practices in support of building and district goals.
- Must be willing to support and implement multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS) for both academics and behavior.
- Must be willing to integrate new technology-based strategies into the classroom.
- Must attend and actively participate in all building and district professional development.
- Good attendance and punctuality are a must to ensure that the duties and responsibilities of the job are performed successfully.
- Other duties as assigned by administration.

- Ability to go up and down stairs on a regular basis
- Able to stand for long periods of time
Special Qualification Desired: (Personal Qualities, Education, Skills Needed, Experience, Etc.)
- Extensive computer/technology knowledge
- Knowledgeable about middle level practices.
- Experience with middle level adolescents preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of differentiation of instruction necessary to meet needs of diverse student community; evidence such knowledge has been implemented successfully in prior experience.
