Roberts Food Center is a family owned and operated, upscale growing independent supermarket on the Connecticut Shoreline along with our new sister store, Brookside Market in South Glastonbury, CT. We are a customer centric operation where taking care of our customers is King! We pride ourselves on quality with a full service "service with a smile" meat department, scratch deli, Roberts In A Rush hot foods, delicious bakery, freshest produce and a great selection of both mainline and specialty grocery, dairy and frozen foods.

We are currently in search of a meat manager manager at our Madison location. This position requires someone who is detail oriented, a self starter and as crazy about food as we are!

The meat manager position reports directly to the store director as well as store ownership. Daily duties include

- Create and maintain a fresh meat and seafood department which maximizes customer engagement and drives sales.

- Strong meat cutting abilities to both be able to cut fresh meat as well as manage cutters to ensure 100% customer satisfaction

- Ability to maintain proper inventory levels to ensure fantastic in stock position while also minimizing shrink

- Ability to manage and lead crew to always be pushing for higher standards and a more innovative department

- Strong knowledge of both meat and seafood departments

- Ability to maintain a spotless and clean department following all store, local and federal health codes

- Ability to work with vender partners on product pricing, deals and buy ins including warehouse and secondary venders.

- Full P&L responsibility - including sales, gross profit and labor

Previous meat management experience is required as well as 5+ years meat cutting experience - ideal candidate must have competent computer skills in Microsoft Office and have the ability to learn store specific programs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $1,000.00 - $1,500.00 per week
