The Service Mechanic performs preventative maintenance and general repairs on Ben E. Keith cars, vans, tractors, and trailers.

• Perform scheduled and routine maintenance on a wide range of equipment including: tractors, trailers, refrigeration units, forklifts, pallet jacks, cars, and vans • Provide on-site maintenance for branch locations that do not have fleet shops • Prioritize multiple, competing priorities • Ensure company equipment is in safe, working condition; reports any incidents or unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor • Operate all company equipment safely and in a manner consistent with company policy • Ensure work area is organized, clean, and free of trash • Attend meetings as required • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Qualifications:

• All applicants hired by Ben E. Keith Beverages are required by the State of Texas to obtain two TABC licenses • Ability to work in a fast paced environment • Able to coordinate multiple activities and follow through with commitments • Good oral and written communication skills and participate well in a team environment • Must be highly motivated and results oriented, with a strong attention to detail • Must be organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations • Must be able to read and write English • Must be 18 yrs. or older to apply • Must have a valid Texas driver’s license with clean driving record • Ability to learn and use relevant internal computer applications • Must able to lift 50 lbs., stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear
