Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative, Inc. is accepting applications for a Mechanic I, II, or III in our Benson location.

Do you have a passion for the mechanic career field? Does working out of a fully resourced mechanic shop and a fully equipped mechanic truck interest you? SSVEC is looking for a highly motivated Mechanic I, II, or III to join their fleet team!

The successful team member will provide support to the cooperative by repairing and servicing all cooperative light, medium, and heavy-duty vehicles, and various trailers including heavy equipment and generators. As well as deploying and retrograding the mobile substation. After hour service calls and emergency response, our mechanics stand ready to support. Our mechanic team is also responsible for performing inspections, diagnosis, disassembling, and reassembling as needed or required including welding and fabrication.

Educational requirements are a high school diploma or GED with a minimum of 3 years of training/experience in vehicle truck, and hydraulic repair. Must be able to obtain or possess a valid Class A Arizona Commercial Driver's license. Must provide own hand tools. Ability to obtain ASE certifications (Mechanic I) or possess ASE certifications as listed in SSVEC's Mechanic II and III program!
