The Building Engineering Services Group (BES) provides mechanical, electrical, plumbing, site civil, structural, and specialty design services for a wide variety of buildings that include public, municipal, private, and Federal project types across the region and globally. With a team of experienced staff, in specific market areas such as Science and Technology, Corporate Commercial/Workplace, Finance, Mission Critical, Hospitality, Industrial, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Transportation, Federal, and Resources facilities, we provide engineering excellence for our clients. Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Mechanical Designer / EIT, we'll count on you to:

  • Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations, and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications
  • Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
  • Complete projects with clear, specified objectives and limited variables
  • Work independently on small projects, or assist more-senior engineers on larger projects
  • Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
  • Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor in Mechanical Engineering, or Architectural Engineering with a Mechanical focus.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office and AutoCAD)
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

  • EIT certification strongly preferred. Candidates hired without their EIT will have the title of 'Mechanical Designer' and be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression.
  • Experience and/or interest in sustainable design/LEED desired but not required.
  • Previous experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm
  • Preference given to local candidates
