Job Description
- Performs diverse engineering activities involving design and/or redesign of company products.
- Manages engineering projects, and ensure projects meet customer specifications and are completed on time and within budget.
- Participates in engineering projects, initiatives, and processes that are in conformance with established policies, standards, and objectives; establishes and/or updates engineering standards and specifications as needed.
- Be fully aware of personal workload, prioritize and organize to ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Generate Engineering documentation and calculations that conform to and support best engineering practices and industry standards.
- Provide remote assistance to multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Learn and use ERP business system and document control systems like EPDM & Teamcenter.
- Provides technical support for sales, marketing, manufacturing, and field support personnel.
- Travel is occasionally required as dictated by project needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
- Location: 6390 N. Eldridge Pkwy., Houston TX 77041.
- Hybrid schedule 3 days in office / 2 days remote work.
- 3 - 5 years of design experience, including experience designing API 6A, API 16C, and/or API 7K equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively and handle multiple projects is essential.
- Knowledge of SolidWorks solid modeling CAD software or equivalent (Pro E, CATIA, etc.).
- Strong knowledge of dimensioning and tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 is desirable.
- Experience in manufacturing environment or some hands-on welding/machining experience is a plus.
- Ability to adapt and be cross trained to learn all job duties as required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Designing equipment to meet API 6A and 16C requirements.
- Previous creation of design documentation to conform with API Q1 or similar quality systems.
- Cross disciplinary experience working with electric and hydraulic control groups.
- Knowledge of ASME Section VIII pressure vessel calculations
- Working with 3rd party companies to meet additional design requirements (DNV OS-E101, ABS CDS, etc).
- Design and management of different valve (gate, control, relief) products.
- Testing experience for validation testing to API 6A, 16C, etc.
- High pressure/High temperature design in accordance with API 17TR8
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,003.34 - $111,111.38 per year
