Lead Mechanical Engineer

Type: Direct Hire, Full Time
Compensation: Starting at $65 with the potential for much more, DOE

Position Overview:

• Collaborate with vendors, production team, and contract manufacturers.
• Ensure that each project timeline is met and that projects stay within budget.
• Establish engineering procedures, standards, and best practices.
• Plan, conceptualize, and create mechanical designs for new products.
• Perform engineering calculations to support design work.
• Create and review technical drawings and specifications using computer software.
• Generate working prototypes for beta testing and customer demonstration.
• Assist in forecasting costs associated with the use of materials and engineering services.
• Develop testing processes; perform testing and validation of new designs.
• Perform documentation to track project development and design process.

Characteristics of a Successful Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field required
• Some experience working as a mechanical engineer, with a firm grasp of engineering concepts
• Exceptional math skills
• Proficient and experienced in the use of SolidWorks
• Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal
