Mechanical Engineer QS

In this role you will:

• Actively partner with clients, responding to their requests accurately and on time

• Assist in creating cost analysis feedback and lessons learned to the client for future works

• Assist in negotiating unit rates

• Assist in the Bid Evaluation process including analysing data and identifying areas requiring additional investigation

• Be part of a larger team of quantity surveyors delivering a robust cost management service to the client

• Expertly negotiate with contractors to agree materials quantities based upon detailed designs

• Partner in preparing and agreeing final accounts, including handling any claims to ensure the best value for the client

• Prepare budget cost estimates in partnership with senior quantity surveyors

• Resolve any commercial, change orders and contract issues quickly and fairly

We would love to hear from you if you:

• Have an understanding of Mechanical & Process Systems
• Have a qualification in surveying, engineering or trade experience in mechanical field
• Have the right to work in Ireland
• Have 5 years’ + experience within Oil and Gas, Pharma or Heavy industrial projects
• Have a qualification in surveying, engineering or similar
• Have an understanding of mechanical, electrical, process or CSA projects
• Have an understanding of systems and ability to read services drawings and schematic
