This position will support the Navy Program Manager responsible for Strategic Systems Planning (SSP) Facilities Acquisition at TRIDENT Submarine Bases Kings Bay Georgia and Bangor Washington. The selected candidate will be responsible for developing comprehensive MILCON documentation and Construction Cost Estimates. Additionally the selected candidate will provide technical peer reviews of design submittals, will develop Facilities Evaluation Testing Criteria, and will perform construction monitoring and conduct/prepare engineering reports and will make recommendations to solve Facilities issues.
There is no relocation assistance available for this position. If relocation is necessary, the selected candidate must be willing to relocate at his/her own expense
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Candidates must ensure that resume addresses all stated requirements of the posted requisition. Only resumes that specifically include all required skills/experience/education, will be considered.
Minimum education and years of related/relevant work experience required: Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 6 years of related/relevant work experience. A Professional Engineering License and the ability to clearly communicate in English, both written and verbally are also required.
Security clearance requirement: Active DoD Secret security clearance preferred but will consider candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. The criteria for obtaining and holding a clearance are driven by US government requirements. You must be a US citizen to obtain a security clearance.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Knowledge of Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Unified Facilities Guide Specification (UFGS) and ASHRAE Standards
- Public Works experience and/or industrial experience
- Broad Mechanical Engineering skills with specialization in HVAC, heat transfer, psychrometrics and DDC controls
- Facilities Plumbing Design Experience
- Good working knowledge of compressed air systems and hydraulic systems
