Alpha Solutions Medical Billing & Consulting is a growing medical billing company in the Tri-State area and is seeking a local medical biller to do remote medical billing work with occasional travel to client locations throughout Evansville, Jasper, Owensboro, Henderson and the surrounding areas. Each biller is responsible for 2 - 3 client accounts as the account manager and will be asked to handle all account responsibilities after the charges are posted to the account. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: posting physical and electronic remits, correcting and resubmitting clearinghouse and EOB rejections/denials, work insurance aging, appeal denials, send patient statements and organize accounts for collections. The ideal candidate will report to both the internal management of Alpha Solutions and will also be the liaison to the practice for day-to-day collaboration. As a full-time employee, you will also answer patient phone calls for all client accounts and may be asked to drive a personal vehicle throughout the community to visit a client location or for internal meetings.

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

• Multiple EMR systems
• Have prior knowledge of local insurance payors and requirements
• Prior billing experience with either an independent practitioner, medical billing company or professional billing service through the hospital
• Personal time-management skills to prioritize multiple on-going projects
• Professional speaking skills to communicate appropriately and effectively with physicians, key stakeholders, insurance companies and management
• Problem-solving strategies
• Prior knowledge of submitting corrected claims or how to submit an appeal.
• Work at home ethics and practice oversight.

*Note that mileage reimbursement is provided and standard working hours are from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Monday - Friday. A full-time employee is 37 - 40 hours/week.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
