Medical Collector Wanted for Ambulatory Surgery Center

We have an immediate opening for a Medical Collector with Ambulatory Surgery Center experience. The ideal candidate must have a strong knowledge of medical collections, account receivable, insurance billing and verification, appeals and denial processing, and EOB review. We are looking for a dynamic individual who can thrive in a fast-paced environment. ASC experience is preferred.

Job Details for our Medical Collector:

  • Position: Medical Collector
  • Location: Beverly Hills, CA
  • Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30AM - 5:00PM
  • Pay: $24/hour (Depending on Experience)
  • Benefits offered upon eligibility: 401(k), Medical, Vision, Dental, Paid Holidays, Paid Time Off, Sick Days, etc.

Medical Collector Requirements:

  • Must have very strong knowledge in contract insurance, Medicare/Medicaid as well as HMO and PPO
  • 2+ years of recent experience in medical collections, preferably in an Ambulatory Surgery Center

Responsibilities for our Medical Collector:

  • Obtain and follow up on prior authorizations
  • Post charges accurately
  • Complete claims to payers
  • Post insurance and patient payments accurately
  • Manage and reconcile EOBs for posting of payments
  • Ensure clean claim submissions
  • Work with insurance aging reports, denials and resubmission of claims
  • Identify and troubleshoot billing, guarantor, insurance plan, and payer issues
  • Conduct duties in a professional and timely fashion
  • Achieve maximum reimbursement for services provided
  • Deploy, maintain and report on various programs
  • Have overall proficiency with revenue cycle workflows
