JOB DESCRIPTION DETAILS ( Weekends only 6a-6p, Sat. / Sun. -work 24 hours (12-hour shifts) per week; get paid for 36 hours. Considered full-time for benefit eligibility. Works in MICRO Lab)

ASCP, AMT, NCA or equivalent, preferred.

Registry or Certification is required before performing Blood Bank procedures or working alone.

Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.

Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.

Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.

Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements.

Previous experience and demonstrated professionalism in effectively communicating with customers and in promoting a positive service atmosphere.

Ability to work independently in a multitask environment producing quality work.
Job Summary :Produce accurate results in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis, microbiology and other areas as designated under the supervision of a medical technologist. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of techniques, principals and instruments and their interrelationships as well as the physiological conditions affecting test results.Education :Position requires an associate's degree (A.A), or diploma program, or military laboratory training program.Registration/Certification/Licensure :Experience :Position requires 0 - 6 months related experience.Other Requirements : -
