Job description
We are seeking a Medical Receptionist to become a part of our team! You will coordinate medical services as well as dispatch services to clients requiring diagnostic exams.Our caring team is committed to providing quality service in a comfortable, safe office setting.
Schedule:
Monday: 9:00a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:00a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Thursday: 9:00a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Friday: 9:00a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling: Manage inbound calls and faxes and enter incoming ordered exams based on the appropriate priority and tech availability. Obtain billable symptoms that warrant the requested exam plan and coordinate health services
- Meet and greet patients and visitors at all times providing a superior level of patient care.
- Secures names and needs of patients and announce, direct, and/or escort to appropriate area accordingly.
- Manage incoming calls effectively and efficiently
- Updates patient information and verifies insurance information, level of services and tracks referrals when necessary.
- Completes the registration accurately. Assures that signatures are complete as necessary in the medical record e.g. on the informed consent, notice of financial interest, insurance forms and release of information form.
- Schedules patient appointments
- Maintains solid knowledge about all managed care plans and general front office maintenance.
- Demonstrates integrity, honesty, and respect when interacting with patients and fellow employees
- Prioritizes and ensures completion of medical forms by clinical staff. Coordinates interdepartmental communication including distribution of medical records and reports.
Qualifications:
- 1 year previous administrative experience in medical field and EMR
- Strong ability to multitask
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.25 - $17.25 per hour
