Esse Health currently has a full-time opportunity for Medical Transcriptionist at our Excel Imaging office!

This position requires a local candidate. This is an in-office position.

Summary: The Medical Transcriptionist transcribes patient reports from procedures as dictated by physician.

1. Transcribe physician’s dictation of medical imaging and office visit findings.
2. Operate word processing and transcription equipment.
3. Communicate with physicians and other staff members especially to resolve unrecognizable phrases in radiology reports.
4. Understand medical terminology, especially radiology and pathology.
5. Proofread and edit transcribed reports.
6. Operate electronic health records system.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Licensure/Certification: N/A
• Years of Experience: Minimum of one (1) year of medical transcriptionist experience.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Proficient with a computer and word processing software
• Must be able to type at least 1000 lines per day
