Bizzell is seeking a Meeting Planner to support our Federal Government client, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS); performing meeting planning related duties on a professional level to include virtual meetings, conferences and events.

Requirements

  • Experience facilitating different types of events, i.e., meetings, webinars, pre-recorded webinars, virtual conference, virtual trainings, in-person meetings or conferences
  • Supervise with direction from the Event Task Lead communicate and document processes
  • Create standard operational procedures, event templates and guidelines as directed by the Event Task Lead
  • Process initial event request, create timelines, update event calendar, and monitor dry-run calendar
  • Serve as event coordinator support
  • Meet with clients to understand their event’s requirements
  • Use project management software for timeline and task management
  • Hold expertise in using virtual event platforms, including Zoom
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other Event Coordinators, project team members, panelists / speakers, and co-organizers, including government clients
  • Ability to perform document conversions (Word to PDF, PPT to PDF, etc)
  • Innovative and resourceful; actively seeks opportunities to improve meetings and events
  • Strong time management skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks efficiently
  • Ability to work with senior managers, supervisors and constituents
  • Ability to maintain poise and professionalism under pressure
  • High energy, positive, professional attitude, pride in work product
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project)
  • Knowledge and proficiency in using Project Management software, such as Monday.com
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • CGMP – Certified Government Meeting Professional preferred but, not required

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Meeting or Event Management, Hospitality, Communications, A/V, IT, Project Management, Business Management or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience using virtual event platforms especially Zoom, GoTo Meeting and Adobe Connect or similar platform is a plus
  • Polished demeanor, calm, collected, organized and ready to play a customer service role for various government clients

Pay: $75,000.00 per year
