Position Overview:
Traditional Shift Schedule: Work only 7 days every 2 weeks! Signicast offers a 2-2-3 rotating 12-hour shift schedule with a 7%-night shift premium.

What you will do:
Melt Technicians work in a fast-paced environment learning to work with different metals. Perform a variety of jobs throughout the melt area including furnace operation, melting steel, pouring steel, preparing ladles, cleaning molds, and removing castings from molds.

What you will need:
Skills needed are math aptitude, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to learn automated robotic equipment in certain mods. Will be in hot working conditions and must have very good attention to detail. A positive attitude and a strong work ethic are highly preferred. This position is a stepping stone to higher-level positions.

Physical Demands:
The employee is required to stand, and/or walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
Safety glasses, hearing protection, and safety shoes must be worn in all manufacturing areas. Additional PPE may be required as needed.

The essential duties and responsibilities are not all-inclusive and may be expanded from time to time to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary.
