Job Description:
The purpose of this job is to assist members by offering Salem VA Credit Union products and services. The Member Experience Specialist is responsible for providing excellence in service by processing requested financial transactions, resolving problems, and answering questions covering the spectrum of Salem VA Credit Union's products and services.
- Responsible for being knowledgeable of and ensuring that service standards are actively pursued and routinely achieved or exceeded in the day to day performance of job duties
- Receive, inspect, and verify cash and negotiable instruments for deposits, process loan payments, and perform a variety of teller functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures
- Responsible for balancing transaction input throughout the day and at the end of each workday
- Steward of the in-branch member experience by creating a positive image and memorable impression
- Demonstrate teamwork supporting members of the branch staff and the entire organization
- Actively participate in staff meetings in order to maintain awareness of organizational issues
- Attend training to continuously increase job knowledge and overall job performance in order to provide an increased level of service to our members
- Take responsibility to work with supervisor for individual development and tranining to acquire new skills
Required Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year sales or customer service experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Understanding of sales processes and techniques
- Must be organized, accurate, detail-oriented, and reliable
- Proficient in the use of computer and other standard business machines
- Self-motivated in a fast paced environment
