The YMCA of Sumter is seeking a highly energetic, customer service driven leader to serve as the Membership Engagement Director at the Sumter Family Y branch. This is a team leader position responsible for successfully leading and supporting the daily operations and ongoing administration of the member service team, department and key branch initiatives. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the mission, purpose, image and core values are conveyed through service excellence, member retention and increased program enrollment.

Qualifications: Preferred candidates should have 5 years of relevant membership, sales and service experience, experience implementing effective internal and external marketing plans, supervision and staff development experience, ability to set the standards for and model exceptional member service and build a culture of member/involvement and engagement in all staff, excellent computer skills and experience with standard business software, demonstrated problem-solving skills, ability to anticipate needs, determine priorities, follow through, and meet deadlines, exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills.

YMCA of Sumter serves over 8,000 youth, adults and families with programs and membership housed in an 85,000 sq foot facility with 2 indoor pools, 2 gyms, a 4-room youth development center w/ private entrance, separate youth and adult locker rooms, MX4 room, indoor walking track, cycling studio, oversized group exercise studio and state-of-the-art 10,000+ sq ft fitness and wellness center in addition to a 55-acre outdoor waterfront day camp and gymnastic facility.
