Kootenai Health is currently hiring a compassionate, caring, and attentive
Mental Health Specialist to join our Behavioral Health - Youth Acute team.

As a Mental Health Specialist on our team, and under direct supervision, you will provide child, adolescent, or adult patient support and supervision in a treatment or educational milieu; and assist in the maintenance of a safe, secure environment that enhances treatment and/or educational effectiveness.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
· Bachelor of Science Degree in psychology, social work or related field
· OR MHS Certification and 2 years related patient care experience required
· Crisis prevention training, or must acquire within 6 months of employment, required
· BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to maintain a sitting position
- Typical equipment used in an office job
- Must be able to stoop, crouch, or bend
- Must be able to push, pull, or transport heavy equipment
- Exposure to needles, blood and body fluids, etc.
